Job Description
Position Summary
We are looking for adjunct instructors to teach in the new Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Early Childhood/ InfantChild Mental Health; course assignment to be based on instructor expertise and available courses. Courses and topics covered in the BAS program include traumainformed care challenging behavior special needs assessment and intervention and reflective supervision.
ABOUT THE COLLEGE:
Green River Colleges student body is made up of approximately 41 Academic Transfer students 34 ProfessionalTechnicalstudents 15 Adult Basic Educationstudent and3 Applied Bachelor degrees. Green River College has four campuses including the main campus in Auburn Washingtonwith satellite campuses in Kent downtown Auburn and Enumclaw. Green River programs serve high school graduates Running Start students (dual enrollment in local high schools and the college) those seeking retraining for the workforce international students students learning English and Continuing Education students. Green Rivers service areas are increasingly ethnically diverse comprising African Americans African immigrants Asian Americans Asians Latinx Native Americans Pacific Islanders and Middle Eastern Americans among other communities.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters degree in Early Childhood Education or an educationrelated field
- Experience/specialization in infant/child mental health
- Experience in Early Childhood Education settings
- Experience teaching adults
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:- A Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education
- Experience teaching at the college level
