Summary of Job Duties:
The postdoctoral fellow will test commercially available membranes and develop novel membranes for viral vector harvesting and for further downstream purification including full and empty capsid separations. The postdoctoral fellow will be responsible for designing and planning experiments supervising and working with graduate and undergraduate students maintaining laboratory equipment crafting manuscripts for publication and assisting grant proposals. Regular reliable and nondisruptive attendance is an essential function of this job as is the ability to create and maintain collegial harmonious working relations with others.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
PhD in Chemistry Chemical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering with a strong background and experience in membrane fabrication membrane surface modification and other relevant membranebased separations
Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of prior postdoctoral and/or student supervision experiences
