We are currently looking for a manager level candidate to act in an individual contributor role to help support the business growth in Latin America. Successful candidates will have experience with financial reporting and internal control related responsibilities and have held similar positions or have held a manager level position in accounting or finance in public or private companies. Demonstrated experience in leading teams to accomplish unusually complex challenges is also expected.
This position will have responsibility for supporting the Latam Accounting team to oversee all parts of our financial accounting and reporting functions in Latam. In addition this person will be expected to understand internal control design concepts sufficient to assess the effectiveness of controls in their area and to influence the design of systems processes and controls for emerging and growing business activities. Technical accounting research and position paper writing may also be a requirement for this position.
Key job responsibilities
Supporting various aspects of our accounting and reporting process.
Endtoend process ownership to support finance and business partners.
Understand internal control design concepts sufficient to assess the effectiveness of controls in their area and to design new processes and controls for emerging and growing business activities.
Manage the periodend close process by ensuring the accurate and timely completion of all lease accounting entries and reconciliations.
Manage key leased life cycle events
Perform analytical review of lease related balances and provide balance sheet account movements to support cash flow reporting
Drive projects provide accounting guidance and often serve as first point of contact for finance and business partners to resolve issues.
Ensure effective collaboration and influence across multiple organizations with partner teams and stakeholders.
5 years of finance or a related analytical field experience
Bachelors degree in accounting or related field
CPA
Knowledge of internal control framework (specifically COSO) to assess control design and operational efficiency
Knowledge of GAAP research tools and the FASB codification
Experience in accounting management in Big Four with Fortune 500 clients
Experience researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions
