You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWere looking for a new team member in the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) Office of Passenger Transportation (OPT) where our mission is to provide a safe and balanced statewide network of passenger transportation services to meet the social safety and economic wellbeing of the state.
This position provides technical support to OPT by assisting the management team and staff in executing key program functions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to managing and analyzing data related to passenger transportation programs ensuring accuracy in data entry verification and maintenance of transitrelated information including regulatory compliance and vehicle inventories. The role also supports staff communications with external stakeholders through various formats coordinates logistics for training sessions and conferences and facilitates the procurement and management of vehicles and technology resources for OPT staff.
This position ensures operational efficiency adherence to state and federal regulations and the seamless of departmental initiatives.
The Salary listed above is a range that reflects the minimum rate at the entry7level through the maximum rate at the experienced(E9level. Education
Education typically acquired through completion of high school.
Experience
Departmental Technician 7
One year of experience performing administrative support activities equivalent to the 7level in state service.
Departmental Technician 8
One year of experience performing administrative support activities equivalent to the 8level in state service.
OR
One year of experience as a technician or paraprofessional equivalent to the entry level in state service.
Departmental Technician E9
One year of experience as a supervisor of administrative support activities equivalent to the 9level in state service.
OR
One year of experience performing administrative support activities equivalent to the 9level in state service.
OR
Two years of experience as a technician or paraprofessional including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate level in state service.
Departmental Technician 7
Completion of two years of college 60 semester or 90 term credits) may be substituted for the experience requirement.
Departmental Technician 8
Possession of a Bachelors degree may be substituted for the experience requirement.
Departmental Technician E9
Possession of a Bachelors degree and one year of jobrelated experience may be substituted for the experience requirement.
