We currently have an opening for an EBS Platform Manager
This vacancy is open to current NCDIT employees only or previous NCDIT employees with unexpired RIF priority reemployment rights. Current temporary employees working for NCDIT will also be considered.
The EBS Platform Manager is responsible for the leadership of 19 professional IT staff and contractors for the Enterprise Business Services (EBS) unit for the purpose of providing information technology services to support the SAP system.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for recruiting mentoring counseling and disciplining of the employees as well as their professional growth and development
- Serves a key role in the development and maintenance of NCDOTs SAP technical infrastructure strategy providing daytoday leadership and coaching to the EBS Platform team to ensure completion of all required Infrastructure/Basis/Security administration projects and activities
- Manage the development of procedures and policy for the efficient operations of the SAP systems
- Directs the daytoday activities and work assignments of a team of SAP Basis and Security Administrators allocating and monitoring the workflow to ensure the accurate and timely completion of assignments and projects within the established timeframe and quality standards
- Provides highlevel guidance to end users and handles technical questions pertaining to NCDOTs system/security policies and procedures
- Supervise the transport system to ensure timely accurate and authorized transports of system changes from development environments to the production environment resulting in secure and reliable systems
- Ensure consistency between backup/restore procedures and disaster recovery procedures by preparing for and participating in disaster recovery tests resulting in a reliable disaster recovery program
- Drives the of deliverables from project inception to implementation

To qualify for this position applicants must document on the application that they possess ALL of the following:
- Demonstrated experience in Project Management
- Demonstrated experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as SAP
- Demonstrated experience with lifecycle implementations and post golive support
The following Management Preferences are not required but applicants that possess these skills are preferred:
- Ability to support complex SAP HANA systems and solutions
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelors degree in computer science or an IT related field or other related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and five years progressive experience including at least two years of experience in programming and applications analysis or related work
OR
Associate degree in computer science or an IT related field or other related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and six years progressive experience including at least two years of experience in programming and applications analysis or related work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
