GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Assists professional social services workers and the public social services agency staff in daily case management and receptionist duties.The State of Wyomings total compensation package is excellent and includes:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed at the job level.- Transports clients to appointments visitations treatment centers and foster care facilities.
- Sets up visitation schedules.
- Supervises parental visits with children and monitors telephone calls.
- Conducts parenting classes and provides parenting skills at home.
- Gives testimony in court regarding observation of clients and families.
- Assists with file management computer file entries and case narratives; ensures that all data is accurate and uptodate in the WYOSAFE system.
- Provides inhome checks and services.
- Monitors urinalysis school grades and attendance.
- Answer phones direct phone calls and greet walkins.
- Assist clients with benefits questions.
- Fully documents all contact with clients and children.
- Confers with the Social Services Worker and Social Work Supervisors regarding client progress and case plans.
- Assist with intake.
Qualifications
PREFERENCES/**AGENCY REQUIREMENTS:
Preference may be given to applicants with experience helping families in need to become stronger and more selfsufficient.
**Agency requires that the successful applicant possess a valid drivers license.
KNOWLEDGE:- Knowledge of parenting.
- Knowledge of policies regarding child protection and benefits.
- Knowledge of the community or institution to be served.
- Knowledge of client data collection.
- Knowledge of word processing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education:High School DiplomaExperience:02 years of progressive work experience (typically in Social Services Programs)OREducation & ExperienceSubstitution:13 years of progressive work experience (typically in Social Services Programs)Certificates Licenses Registrations:NoneNecessary Special Requirements
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:- This position takes place in an average work environment.
NOTES:- FLSA: NonExempt
- All positions within the Department of Family Services will require a background information check including the taking of fingerprints which will be completed through the Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigation the Department of Family Services and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for every successful applicant.
