About this role

We are seeking Senior Research Specialists to support the discovery and delivery of actionable business ideas that will help Fortune 500 finance executives transform their organizations people and business outcomes. This role enables you to explore your intellectual curiosity in a collaborative teambased environment. Youll be offered robust training support coaching mentorship and onthejob development to achieve career success and advance within Gartner.

In this role youll be a key player on the Cross Finance Research Team. Members of this team have the opportunity to work on projects across the corporate finance terrain that develop their research craft writing skills and subject matter expertise. Youll work on a team that welcomes and values everyone and where we embrace a variety of backgrounds and perspectives in support of creating differentiated research.

What youll do

  • Develop a deep understanding of how finance leaders think and behave to learn what insights will make on impact on their and their teams work
  • Learn and execute Gartners proven methodology for conducting worldclass research that helps senior finance leaders learn and implement best practice solutions to many of todays biggest business challenges.
  • Analyze realworld business problems using qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Collaborate with finance subject matter experts to serve as a thought partner and write research deliverables including but not limited to: white papers case studies presentations guidebooks and templates
  • Contribute to and often manage entire project lifecycles from scoping to outline to draft to publication.
  • Develop expertise in finance terrain(s) and the use of technology in research.

What youll need

  • A Bachelors degree is preferred as well as 3 years of experience in academic or applied research utilizing qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Passion for learning about corporate finance and how its being transformed by technology.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and ability to process and understand information quickly as well as a drive to diagnose and problemsolve issues in order to provide actionable recommendations.
  • Experience converting qualitative and quantitative information into clear frameworks written narratives and visually compelling presentations for clients
  • Collaboration skills necessary to manage research projects with multiple stakeholders and initiative to produce highquality research individually.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines multitask and work under ambiguity/uncertainty (e.g. changing factors limited information).
  • Interest in experimenting with technology including AI to enhance the research process.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 70000 USD 97000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range or be above or below the range based on factors including but not limited to education training experience professional achievement business need and location. In addition to base salary employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance or a rolebased uncapped sales incentive plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates. We also offer market leading benefit programs including generous PTO a 401k match up to $7200 per year the opportunity to purchase company stock at a discount and more.
