The Office of the Insurance Commissioner (OIC) seeks a motivated and qualified individual for the Deputy Insurance Commissioner Rates Forms and Provider Networks position. This role is part of our Executive Management Team and is based out of our Tumwater Office.

We are seeking an accomplished executive leader to oversee the agencys Rates Forms and Provider Networks Division reporting directly to the Chief Deputy Insurance Commissioner. This division encompasses the following critical business units:
This position plays a key role in supporting the agencys mission to protect consumers the public interest and our states economy through fair and efficient regulation of the insurance industry. The RFPN Deputy ensures that the rates and forms used in Washington State comply with both federal and state laws while also guaranteeing that provider networks are adequate for the needs of insurance consumers.
As a member of the Executive Management Team (EMT) The RFPN Deputy will participate in setting the strategic direction of the agency establishing legislative priorities ensuring fiscal responsibility and creating an inclusive performancebased culture.

This is a civil service exempt position. The annual salary for this position is $165000.00.

Required Qualifications:

A total of 10 years of experience and/or education as described below:
Demonstrated Experiencein five of the following areas:
Supervisory Experience:Five years of experience in a management position that includes the supervision of supervisors and/or other managers performance management sharing an organizational vision and providing leadership in a changing environment.
Education: involving a major study in public administration law finance economics mathematics statistics or public policy or a related field. Education must be froman accredited institution whose accreditation is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council of Higher Education Accreditation or a foreign equivalent.
