Opportunity

WEM Civil has an rewarding opportunity for an experienced Site Supervisor to join our team.

We have a strong portfolio of work with multiple projects underway across Sydneys Northwest and Southwest Hunter and Illawarra regions. This role is based in the North region requiring travel to job sites across the area.

In this handson role youll lead daily site operations across a range of civil projects. Youll manage teams coordinate subcontractors and work closely with the Site and Project Managers to deliver highquality work safely on time and within budget.

What youre accountable for:

  • Supervise and ensure all daytoday site activities are wellplanned and productive
  • Allocate tasks and oversee crews and subcontractors
  • Run site inductions toolbox talks (on average 30 individuals) and complete all WHS paperwork
  • Inspecting works and maintaining quality standards
  • Track project progress against your own program ensuring the project is delivered on time
  • Ensure the site is appropriately resourced and works are always productive
  • Maintain WHS environmental and statutory compliance
  • Communicate clearly with teams and stakeholders
  • Identify and resolve issues early
  • Support a safe positive and productive work culture
  • Assist with survey set out and quality checks as needed
  • Participate in regular leadership development training

What youll bring:

  • Proven experience as a Supervisor or Foreman in civil construction
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans
  • Solid understanding of construction processes methods and materials
  • High attention to detail with strong planning and organisational skills
  • Clear and confident communication with strong interpersonal skills
  • Sound knowledge of WHS Environmental and Quality Management Systems
  • Effective problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and client management systems
  • Experience with survey equipment (highly regarded)
  • A current and valid drivers licence
  • A positive proactive mindset with a safetyfirst approach
  • Willingness to mentor and support others and travel to various sites as required
  • Drive to learn grow and take ownership in your role
  • Readiness to tackle challenges and work collaboratively with the team
