Job Duties
This position is responsible for curriculum development and curriculum revision academic advising duties professional development internal and external service and participation in student recruitment and retention activities. The assignment may include some evening and weekend hours as well as teaching at all ECTC satellite campuses. Candidates must possess a strong commitment to teaching and learning working with diverse populations and growing the Colleges mission and vision. The assignment period is fulltime 10 month (AugustMay).

Education: Associate Degree in Welding and a minimum of 35 years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Successful candidates should demonstrate:
The ability to use Blackboard for communication and feedback curriculum development course design and student outcome assessment.
Requires a background in the areas of Shielded Metal Arc Gas Metal Arc Gas Tungsten Arc and Flux Core Arc welding processes as well as flame cutting and plasma cutting blueprint reading for welders electrodes filler rods/wire and weld types. Knowledge of certification processes is desirable.
Classroom and laboratory instruction and maintaining a safe and professional working environment for students in the welding lab.
Knowledge of shop equipment is required (shears saws grinders punches breaks etc..
Strong communications/relationshipbuilding skills.
The ability to teach in a professional enthusiastic and organized manner to maintain order and discipline while reaching as many students as possible.
Developing and maintaining working relationships with local industry representatives.
Setting and implementing highexpectation standards related to safety and professional behaviors.
Understanding and implementing workplace organization 5s) standards.
