As an Engineer in the American Express Cloud Solutions Engineering team you will be :
Taking part of an agile team driving the latest development practices and migration activities
Writing code unit testing conducting code reviews build automations and adapt CICD
Identifying opportunities for adopting new technologies
Ability to manage your own time and working well both independently and as part of a team.
Identify technical debts in the platform and work with leads & product owner to triage based on criticality.
Minimum Qualifications
4 years of software development experience in a professional environment
Bachelors Degree in computer science computer science engineering or related experience required
Good development experience in any one of the programming languages Java Javascript Python Go React RestAPI Junit
Knowledge in cloud native application patterns and tools micro services architectures application migrations to any cloud platform is plus.
Knowledge in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tools such as Jenkins GitHub Actions is plus.
Preferred handson experience with offerings such as OpenShift / Kubernetes Docker Service mesh
Strong problemsolving skills and a desire to learn through experience.
Excellent collaboration in a team environment and comfortable in group based working sessions.
Proficient oral and written communication skills. (edited)
Salary Range: $85000.00 to $150000.00 annually bonus benefits
