Software Engineer
Gauteng (Onsite)
Embedded C/C Experience Required
A leading player in the defence and security sector is looking for a Software Engineer to join their highperformance team in Gauteng. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a highly regulated missioncritical environment. RTCA DO178C experience is a major advantage and C/C skills are nonnegotiable.
Youll be involved in full lifecycle software development from requirement analysis and design to testing integration and validation all within a safetycritical embedded systems environment. The team embraces collaboration and innovation offering strong mentorship and a technically challenging environment.
Qualifications:
- BEng (Computer Engineering) or BSc (Computer Science) or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of software development experience
- Experience in safetycritical or militarygrade environments (advantageous)
Requirements:
- Proficient in C/C software development
- Solid experience working within safetycritical software environments
- Strong embedded OS and realtime system knowledge
- Experience with VModel development lifecycle (RTCA DO178C is a plus)
Key Performance Areas (KPAs):
- Analyse and translate systemlevel requirements into highlevel software specifications
- Write test cases and verification protocols
- Develop and review embedded software code and documentation
- Lead technical activities within a small Scrumbased team
- Integrate and validate embedded systems and resolve defects
- Contribute to project planning maintenance and wrapup activities
