Job Summary
The Markey Cancer Center at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine is seeking an exceptional candidate for a fulltime tenuretrack Assistant or tenured Associate Professor position with strong background in bioinformatics such as statistical machine learning and AI methods for immunooncology single cell spatial and multiomics. This new faculty member is expected to work collaboratively with basic science clinical and populationbased investigators at the Markey Cancer Center to pursue independent methodological research and to participate in education activities. The position requires a Ph.D. degree in biostatistics computer science bioinformatics or a related field. In addition strong methodologic and applied expertise excellent collaboration and communication skills and productivity in research is required. Experience in cancerrelated research is preferred though not required. The Markey Cancer Center has a strong commitment to professional development and mentoring. Competitive salary commensurate with level of experience and a professional environment to ensure success in building a career are available. The Markey Cancer Center is an NCI designated Comprehensive Cancer Center on the medical campus of the University of Kentucky. Situated on a campus with all six health profession colleges the cancer center is located within a vibrant and expanding basic clinical and population research community with ample opportunities for collaboration within and across its research programs (see for more information).
