Job Description
EASTCONN operates two Clinical Developmental and Therapeutic (CDT) programs in
Northeastern Connecticut: Northeast Regional Program (NRP) in Danielson and Educational and Vocational Center (EVC) in Columbia both serving grades K12. These programs are designed for students who need a highly structured supportive therapeutic environment in order to achieve academic and behavioral success. The programs emphasize supporting students in acquiring the academic social emotional and behavioral skills necessary to successfully return to their local public schools or a less restrictive environment and combine individualized instruction with a multimodal approach and highinterest materials to maximize learning. Members of our multidisciplinary team including psychologists and BoardCertified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) are also available to consult with districts to assess program or districtwide needs with the goal of building indistrict capacity to develop and support student programs in their home schools/communities.

Required Qualifications:
- CT Special Education Teacher certification;
- Experience working with students with social emotional and behavioral issues in the high school experience; and
- The ability to utilize physical management techniques.

Emergency Educator Certification Endorsements
On Wednesday December 1 the Connecticut State Board of Education adopted the following temporary emergency endorsements effective for the 202122 school year: Emergency Generalist PK8 #201 Emergency Generalist 712 #202 Emergency Teacher of English Language Learners PK12 #204 and Emergency PK Authorization for Comprehensive Special Education K12 #205. These endorsements may be issued to any educator who currently holds an appropriate Initial Provisional or Professional Educator Certificate including interim certificates upon a mutually agreed submission of the request by the LEA/District.
