Job Details
The Vice President of Development and IT Operations is responsible for leading the development implementation and maintenance of the companys information systems and technology infrastructure. This role encompasses software development IT operations and the alignment of technology initiatives with business goals. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing largescale IT projects developing strategic plans and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Position Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership:
o Develop and implement the overall IT strategy in alignment with CARFAX Canadas business objectives.
o Work with senior leadership to define technical roadmaps and ensure the successful of IT projects.
2. Software Development:
o Oversee the software development lifecycle from concept to deployment ensuring highquality scalable and reliable software products.
o Lead crossfunctional teams in agile methodologies to deliver innovative solutions.
3. IT Operations:
o Manage 24/7 IT operations including network infrastructure cloud services data center operations tier 2 support and cybersecurity measures.
o Ensure high availability and reliability of systems and services minimizing downtime and optimizing performance.
4. Team Management:
o Build and lead a highperforming team of IT professionals including developers engineers and IT support staff.
o Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that encourages professional growth and development.
5. Budget and Resource Management:
o Develop and manage the IT budget ensuring costeffective solutions and efficient use of resources.
o Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors and service providers.
6. Innovation and Improvement:
o Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends evaluating their potential impact on the company.
o Drive process improvements and efficiencies through the adoption of new tools technologies and best practices.
7. Compliance and Security:
o Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to IT and data security.
o Lead initiatives to safeguard company data and systems from security threats.
8. Customer Focus:
o Partner with product teams to ensure the delivery of IT solutions that meet customer needs and enhance the user experience.
