The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $30 to $40 an hour at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location education experience knowledge and skills.
Tasks and Qualifications:

In this role you will deliver outstanding customer service guaranteeing the seamless operation and upkeep of Dematic systems.
What You Will Do In This Role
- Participate in semicomplex equipment trial runs investigative tests repairs and overhauls.
- Train customers on semicomplex products and services.
- Perform semicomplex maintenance on tools test equipment and other related items.
- Document all inspections maintenance repair work and failures.
- Respond to semicomplex service calls and assess equipment performance.
- Recommend modifications or improvements based on field support data.
- Tackle problems as they arise and refer sophisticated issues to others.
What We Are Looking For
- Trade school graduate or equivalent experience in a mechanical electrical or mechanical technician program. A Bachelors degree in engineering is a plus.
- Minimum of two years of experience in fixing electromechanical and/or mechanical equipment with experience in material handling equipment highly prized.
- Service experience with Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGV) Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS) or conveyors is highly valued.
- Willingness to travel on short notice and spend over 80 of the time traveling potentially being away from home for up to a month.
- Availability during offhours weekends holidays and off shifts.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
- Proficiency in writing clear concise and complete trip reports according to Dematic procedures.
- Knowledge of using personal computers for word processing database functions and communications. Familiarity with personal computer hardware setup and software configuration is required.
- Previous experience fixing Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) is necessary.
