ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION
Founded in 1965 the ChineseAmerican Planning Council Inc. (CPC) aims to promote the social and economic empowerment of Chinese American immigrant and lowincome communities. Today CPC is the nations largest Asian American social services agency and offers more than 50 programs at over 35 sites throughout New York City including early childhood education schoolage care youth services workforce development community services and senior services. CPC strives to be the premier social service and leadership development organization. In 2017 CPC launched Advancing Our CommUNITY its organizationwide strategy to expand services to address persistent needs and emerging trends and to improve leadership skills among staff and community members. In 2022 our core programs and emergency services reached 200000 people living in all five boroughs and all 51 city council districts. In the summer of 2022 CPC was recognized as the number one Chinese American organization in New York City to recommend to a Chinese immigrant looking for inlanguage and culturally competent resources according to a recent survey. Founded in 1972 Open Door is a community center which provides services to more than 600 members aged 60 and above daily. The goal of CPC Open Door Older Adult Center is to provide to the elder communities muchneeded programs in the areas of social service nutrition and meals education and recreation in a safe and welcoming space located in Chinatown. Educational recreational and cultural activities/workshops promote an active and healthy lifestyle for seniors assisting them emotionally mentally and physically. Open Doors case management provides oneonone assistance in benefits entitlements translation/interpretation services and/or social support for community members and their families. Our program provides healthy and balanced daily meals for seniors which meets the Department for the Agings (DFTA) nutritional requirements.
JOB SUMMARY
The Database Manager will oversee and maintain the programs electronic databases. The Database Manager will also provide support with case management.
