Job Description

Department of Geological Sciences Teaching AssociatePool

POSITION:

The Department of Geological Sciences at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Teaching Associate Pool.

We welcome applications from current and prospective CSUF graduate students in the Geological Sciences department to teach in the following subject areas:

  • Intro to Geological Sciences Lab
  • Laboratory sections of upper division majors classes as needed.

This is a pool of Teaching Associates for the department to draw on as necessary.

APPOINTMENTS FROM THE POOL ARE TEMPORARY AND OFTEN MADE JUST PRIOR TO THE START OF THE ACADEMIC TERM. APPLICANTS MAY BE OFFERED EMPLOYMENT ON VERY SHORT NOTICE.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidates must be a currently enrolled or prospective graduate student in the Geology department.
  • A BA or BS degree in Geology Earth Science or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Candidates should be willing to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students including firstgeneration college students
