Job Description

Mitchell Technical College is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Program Director to join Mitchell Technical College in developing the Physical Therapy Assistant program for Fall 2027.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Experience
    • A minimum of five years of fulltime postlicensure experience that includes a minimum of three years of fulltime clinical experience
    • Experience in classroom lab or clinical teaching.
    • Experience in administration management and leadership.
  • Degree
    • A minimum of a masters degree.
  • Credentials/Licensing
  • Hold an active unencumbered PT license or PTA license/certification and is in compliance with the practice act in the jurisdiction where the program is located.
  • Earned a minimum of 60 contact hours of professional development or education in all of the following: educational theory and methodology instructional design student evaluation and outcome assessment.

The Physical Therapy Assistant Program Director position will:

  • Begin on February 1 2025
  • Teach theory direct skills practice labs simulations and clinicals in a variety of settings within the Physical Therapy Assistant program.
  • Be responsible for program development curriculum development assessment of learning outcomes and advising students for degree and career success.
