Job Description
The Amazon Foundational People Data Services (FPDS) team is building HR solutions to enable employees and managers to selfserve changes across all human resource processes.
Join us in building an innovative technology using Amazon Web Services to meet the complex and unique demands of managing nearlyemployees globally. We dive deep to insist on the highest standards in architecture coding testing deploying and maintaining every aspect of our offerings.
Our team is responsible for integrating HR system to 100 downstream systems. This job requires you to hit the ground running and your ability to learn quickly will define your success. Expertise on Core Java SQL (Oracle/Presto) AWS services like Athena S3 Batch Lambda DynamoDb CloudWatch is a must.

Key job responsibilities
Gather business and functional requirements and translate these requirements into robust scalable operable solutions with a flexible and adaptable data architecture.
Contribute to the architecture and implementation of next generation data solutions from the ground up.
Manage AWS resources including S3 Athena Batch lambda etc.
Optimize automated processes for performance and fault tolerance.
Optimize support for adhoc analysis across various data sources
Collaborate with Data Engineers BI Engineers and crossfunctionally to deliver high quality data architecture and pipelines.
Make large and/or complex data more accessible understandable and usable by applications and teams.

Your expertise and insights will have a direct impact on how our products are developed and implemented worldwide. Youll be working on projects that directly impact our customers and contribute to their success. About the team
Our team enables data producers and consumers to onboard to FPDS services with minimal time and effort and be a force multiplier to expand people data selection for our data consumers. Our customers are Amazon Builder teams Employee Experience teams and Amazons Subsidiaries.
3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
