Summary of Duties:
Under general supervision perform custodial and maintenance tasks to maintain the cleanliness and care of facilities. Successful candidates must be willing and able to perform duties associated with commercial cleaning and minor maintenance repair wearing Personal Protective Equipment PPE including operating industrial cleaning equipment and power tools such as highspeed buffers burnishers shampooers vacuum cleaners and hand drills. Successful candidates must also be willing and able to clean restrooms classrooms residence halls offices and or similar facilities as well as perform minor maintenance tasks such as caulking replacing toilet seats lavatory handles minor furniture repair replacing outlet covers. Successful candidates must be able to move heavy items such as tables furniture cleaning equipment supplies and other related devices. This position requires the ability to physically bend stoop lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds; to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift climb and stand on ladders. May supervise lower level staff.

This is a full time 100 FTE) permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary:
$3317 to $3999 Range 34 (Steps E M) Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 35728
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110 the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidates current experience education skills and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
The ability to do required work the ability to read and writeANDsix months experience in custodial general or building maintenance grounds keeping or semiskilled carpentry electrical and/or plumbing repair work; OR equivalent education/experience.
Must have or be able to obtain by time of hire a valid drivers license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards.
