The Role: We seek a Principal Business Development leader to drive growth within our strategic payer accounts. This role focuses on expanding relationships with existing pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) health plan clients and other payers; identifying new revenue opportunities and ensuring exceptional client satisfaction. Youll lead a team of BD and account management professionals who must provide highquality client support (e.g. reporting and data analytics periodic business review meetings) address client needs and think creatively with those clients to grow customer adoption. You will also bring the voice of the customer our strategic accounts and clients in working with a high functioning product and technical team to develop the products and services that will grow business.
You will be adept at building relationships and have a successful record of growing accounts and revenue generation and also at building relationships with peer stakeholder groups internally to launch new largescale accounts successfully. You are a people manager with demonstrated skill in developing talent and implementing systems that scale the work of your team. You enjoy working closely with customer teams to develop strategies that highlight industryleading successes across various forums and events. Youll leverage creativity to build and convey compelling value propositions and work crossorganizationally to foster alignment and eliminate obstacles.
Key job responsibilities
Deepen Csuite relationships within existing strategic accounts to uncover growth opportunities
Develop and execute accountspecific growth strategies that align with Amazon Pharmacys and the clients business objectives
Lead RFP responses for expanded business opportunities and contract renegotiations
Partner with product and technical teams to ensure our roadmap addresses strategic client needs
Build and mentor a highperforming team of BD and account management professionals
Create scalable processes and frameworks to support account growth and team efficiency
Serve as the voice of our key clients within Amazon Pharmacy advocating for their needs and translating them into actionable insights
10 years of building and leading large teams and working in matrixed operating structures experience
Bachelors degree or equivalent
Experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders Clevel executives and cross functional teams or equivalent
Experience in strategic thinking about business enterprise software products and new technology platforms and architectures or equivalent
5 years of managing and developing high performance teams experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $174300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $288200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
