Patient Access Representative Medical Department
(Fulltime 40 hours/week)
Generations Family Health Center Inc. is a regional community health center covering a thirty seven town rural region in eastern Connecticut with sites located in Willimantic Danielson Norwich and Putnam. Our dedicated staff provides a full range of primary care services to all ages including medical dental and behavioral health care as well as care coordination and community outreach. In addition to our main facilities we offer mobile programs and School Based Health Centers.
Location: Putnam CT
JOB SUMMARY: Major job duties include greeting patients answering phone scheduling appointments obtaining information from patients posting procedures and collecting fees. Must provide excellent customer service and work as a team with multidisciplinary team including dental medical health support and community program staff.
Qualifications
High school diploma postsecondary school education preferred. Typing and computer skills essential. Familiarity with medical/dental terminology and billing procedures is necessary; experience in medical/dental office is helpful. Must be detailed oriented and able to handle multitasking in a fast paced candidates (Spanish/English) preferred based on patient population.
Pay rate: $17.88/hour
