Join us as we build innovative services that integrate some of our 3rd party tools into Amazon Securitys core platforms that protect our cloud from security threats! As a Systems Development Engineer (SysDev) for Amazon Security Platform Engineering you will design build and manage services that enable detection and automation the mitigation of cybersecurity threats across all of Amazons internal services as well as Amazons use of 3rd party clouds such as Azure and Google. We are looking for a SysDev who is excited about designing and building solutions to solve challenging problems for mission critical systems that protect Amazon and our customer data.
We obsess over earning customer trust and the protection of our customers and their data. As part of our new team you will set the groundwork for how we build integrate and operate tooling that provides system hardening configuration best practices mitigation of vulnerabilities and the auditing of configurations of cloud resources across Amazon at a global scale. SysDevs work with security engineers software development engineers and other SysDevs as we leverage the full power and breadth of AWS technologies to build services that proactively protect every single AWS customer both internally and externally from security threats not many teams can say that! Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking storage operating systems)
3 years of designing or architecting (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience designing or architecting (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
Experience in networking storage systems operating systems and handson systems engineering
Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C C# Java Python Golang PowerShell Ruby

Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology
Experience utilizing AWS cloud solutions in a DevOps environment
Experience in automating deploying and supporting largescale infrastructure
Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
Experience building services using AWS products

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
