Job Description

Overview

The Up to 3 Early Intervention program in the Institute for Disability Research Policy & Practice at Utah State University is an inhome pediatric program in northern Utah that strives to provide quality evidencebased therapy services in a nurturing and supportive natural environment.

We are looking for a dynamic creative and committed Communication Specialist (Teacher Early Intervention) to join our interdisciplinary therapy team which is comprised of speechlanguage pathologists occupational therapists physical therapists behavior analysts child development specialists behavior technicians vision and hearing therapists and autism specialists. The successful applicant will provide individual services to children under the age of 3 with developmental delays/disabilities and their families.

The department will either be hiring one fulltime or two parttime (between 50 to 100 time) benefited positions depending on the programs needs and the candidates selected.

The Institute for Disability Research Policy & Practice (IDRPP) is Utahs federally designated University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD). The IDRPP opened its doors in 1972 and was the first UCEDD program in the U.S. to focus on the educational and social needs of children and adults with disabilities. Funding Statement

The Institute for Disability Research Policy & Practice is one of the largest research and outreach centers at USU and we are largely funded through grants contracts and feeforservice programs. All staff positions at the IDRPP are contingent upon funding and all senior staff at the IDRPP with graduate degrees are responsible for helping to generate funding to support our operations and growth.
