Raytheon is seeking a Principal Specialist Environmental Health and Safety Generalist at our McKinney TX facility to utilize advanced knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations this role you will act as a partner in EH&S by formulating and administering EH&S plans and procedures including EH&S Program Management. You will also take proactive steps to ensure the safety and health of site employees and influencing safe behaviors. You will monitor administer evaluate and coordinate with supervisors & managers to implement company EH&S programs to ensure a safe workplace.
*This is an onsite position based at our McKinney TX facility. Relocation benefits are not provided.*
What You Will Do
Manage multiple Industrial Hygiene programs for the site such as nonionizing radiation ionizing radiation respirator and hearing conservation
Perform qualitative and quantitative assessments for chemical and physical stressors in the workplace
Provide inperson training
Serve on a team developing and updating policies and procedures
Recognizing evaluating and controlling hazardous workplace conditions
Ensure compliance with applicable federal state local and company EHS requirements
Audit and evaluate current policies procedures and documentation to assure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Investigate analyze and interpret data from injuries and nearmisses ensuring corrective actions are completed on time and all necessary documentation is in place
Interact with employees and promote relationships learn the tasks employees perform and be known as a resource to the employees at the site
Work toward building partnerships and influencing across assigned areas to provide actionable improvement programs
Think critically and apply current knowledge to situations and problem solve
Working under the direction of the EH&S manager support and implement EH&S programs
Collaborate across department to achieve and maintain consistency of EH&S program implementation
Have attention to detail and ability to a take a project from start to finish within the prescribed timeframe
Work collaboratively with the Engineering Operations and Facilities teams on various projects
Assist in annual EH&S Audits as prescribed by programs
Contribute to the development and implementation of EH&S strategic initiatives that drive continuous improvement
Support the site to meet EH&S requirements for upcoming internal & external audits and EH&S program requirements
Assist with the implementation of continuous improvement activities and corrective actions
Promote safety culture and EH&S tasks and initiatives
Must be willing and able to respond to emergencies after hours as needed on an infrequent basis
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
Experience and/or knowledge with radiation safety.
Experience as an Industrial Hygienist
U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer
5 years of experience as an Industrial Hygienist
Knowledge and application of OSHA/EPA regulations and ANSI Standards
Experience with organizing multiple projects simultaneously
Experience as a Radiation Safety Officer or Radio Frequency Safety Officer.

Location:
North Texas: salary range for this role is 82000 USD 164000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
