Role: L2 Application Support Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking an L2 Support Engineer to provide technical support for integrations data changes and troubleshooting between HCSS Dynamics Solomon OMS (Penta) and ACS (Payroll) systems. The ideal candidate will have strong problemsolving skills experience in integration support and expertise in handling data flows between enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 (L2 support for integrations between HCSS Dynamics Solomon OMS (Penta) and ACS (Payroll).
- Monitor troubleshoot and resolve integration failures data discrepancies and synchronization issues.
- Perform data validation transformation and correction as needed.
- Work closely with L1 support developers and business teams to resolve complex issues.
- Document processes integration workflows and troubleshooting steps.
- Assist in testing and deploying integration fixes and enhancements.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with business rules across systems.
- Handle incident management root cause analysis (RCA) and preventive measures.
Required Skills & Technologies
Technical Skills
Integration Platforms & Middleware:
- Experience with EDI APIs (REST/SOAP) ESB or middleware tools (e.g. MuleSoft Boomi SSIS Talend).
- Knowledge of file transfer protocols (SFTP FTPS) and data formats (XML JSON CSV).
ERP & Payroll Systems:
- Handson experience with Dynamics Solomon HCSS OMS (Penta) and ACS (Payroll).
- Understanding of HR/Payroll data flows and business processes.
Database & Querying:
- Strong SQL skills (MS SQL Server Oracle) for data analysis and troubleshooting.
- Ability to write and optimize queries for data extraction and validation.
Scripting & Automation:
- Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell Python or Bash) for automation tasks.
Monitoring & Logging Tools:
- Familiarity with Splunk ELK Stack or similar log analysis tools.
- Experience with job schedulers (ControlM Autosys).
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Ability to work in a fastpaced highpressure environment.
Excellent communication skills to interact with technical and nontechnical teams.
Incident and problem management experience (ITIL knowledge is a plus).
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in L2/L3 support integration support or middleware administration.
- Knowledge of ERP integration best practices.
- ITIL certification or familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) processes.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science IT or related field.
- Certifications in integration tools SQL or ERP systems are a plus.
