Our Vision is a better tomorrow where all people can belong. With over 5000staff and volunteers we deliver services at more than 150 locations every day including: Childrens Programs Action Sports Camps Recreation Youth Services and The Virtual Y.

OSHC (Outside School Hour Care) are services for families children and schools across Victoria. Suitable for children aged from five to 12 years old we offer both before and after school care and school holiday programs.

About the Opportunity

The Y Victoria is currently seeking a permanent parttime Coordinator for our Before and After School Program at St Josephs Primary School. In this role you will also play a key part in organising and implementing the School Holiday Program. During school holidays flexibility in work hours is required as this may lead to additional hours to ensure the successful operation of the program for the community.

This is a permanent parttime position with 52 hours per fortnight. The working hours will be from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM in the mornings and 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the afternoons.

We are looking for a passionate individual dedicated to empowering young children through engaging experiences. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the daily operations strategic development and growth of the program.
  • Collaborating with the OSHC Manager to identify and respond to opportunities for service improvement.
  • Building positive relationships with the school families local community groups and contract partners.
  • Leading a team of educators to deliver a highquality fun Outside School Hours Care program.

What do you need

  • Minimum Diploma Qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care and/or Tertiary qualification
  • Have (or be willing to obtain) HLTAID012 First Aid Qualifications (including valid CPR)
  • Have (or be willing to obtain) WWCC (Working With Children Check) Employee edition (VIT unable to be accepted)
  • Anaphylaxis and Asthma Qualifications
  • Equivalent experience
