Job Description

Youth Care Practitioner Youth Resource Center Casual

SUMMARY:The Link is looking for aYouth Care Practitioner (YCP)to join the Youth Resource Centre (YRC) in Winnipeg. The YCP is responsible for arranging shelter crisis intervention youth intake case planning as well as basic needs service provision for vulnerable youth and young adults in an emergency shelter setting. The YCP operates from a personcentered nonjudgmental traumainformed strengthbased philosophy. The YCP is also responsible for collaborating across various systems to ensure that outcomes are in the best interest of the youth and align with the overall mission and purpose of the program.

Duties are performed within a team environment which focuses on establishing collaborative and trusting relationships with youth and colleagues. Providing culturally competent services and ensuring youth safety choice and control are priorities at The Link.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate should demonstrate competencies consistent with the Seven Sacred Teachings.

Preferred/Asset or willing to obtain within the first three 3 months:

SALARY:$17.00 per hour

LOCATION: Winnipeg Manitoba.

HOURS OF WORK: Applicants must be able to work a variety of shifts including a combination of days evenings overnights weekends and holidays.
