Job Description

Youth Therapist part time


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Masters Degree in Social Work or Counseling and North Dakota license as a LMSW or LAPC. A clinical license (North Dakota) as a LCSW or LPCC is preferred. Experience working with children and victims of violence and training in evidencebased therapies to address trauma preferred. Availability to work 510 hours per week. If traveling to local and county schools applicant must possess and maintain a valid drivers license and have access to personal transportation. Mileage for travel to schools will be reimbursed.


COMPENSATION: Hourly rate is$21.85$36.42 for LMSW or LAPC/LPC and $25.84$43.06 for Clinical license (LCSW or LPCC). This is a nonbenefited position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Individual and Group Therapy

  • Provide evidencebased individual and group therapy to youth ages 218 who have experienced domestic violence dating violence sexual /abuse stalking and/or bullying.
  • Followup with nonabusing parents whose children are on CVICs therapy waitlists to arrange for services.
  • Provide individual therapy to youth in conjunction with their nonabusing parent at CVICs main office.
  • If working during school hours may provide individual therapy to youth at their school.
  • Obtain training in providing distance counseling and provide individual therapy to victims via telehealth when needed.

Individual Advocacy and Referrals

  • Provide information and parenting support to nonabusing caregivers whose youth have experienced violence.
  • Become knowledgeable of other related agencies and services and provide youth victims and their nonabusing caregivers with appropriate referral information and support in accessing safety net services.
  • Collaborate with partner agencies to assist with referrals to our services helping youth and their families overcome barriers to receiving services as needed and available.

    Record Keeping

    • Maintain accurate complete and timely records of all contacts with youth clients nonabusing caregivers and other agencies according to established procedures.
    • Distribute and collect surveys from youth participating in individual and group therapy and their caregivers according to established procedures.

    Supervision

    • Schedule and participate in supervision with director of youth therapy every other week or more as needed.
