HSHS is seeking a charge entry specialist to join the team at St. Vincent Hospital. Ideal candidates are patient focused mission driven individuals comfortable working independently in helping to coordinate the processes related to charge data integrity entry and reconciliation. Responsibilities include: review of charge for completeness and accuracy matching physician documentation of diagnosis with international classification of diseases (ICD) codes sequencing of ICD codes and current procedural terminology (CPT) codes accurate entry of the charge on the patient account reconciliation of charge to data entry and capturing of charges through the coding networks.

Education Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Associates degree in business or a healthcare related discipline is preferred.
Experience Qualifications
- 3 years of experience as a medical coder is preferred.
Certifications Licenses and Registrations
- Certification as Professional Coder by American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) is preferred.

$24.31 $36.47
A successful candidates actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience skills training certifications and education.
