Position: Occupational Therapist
Requirements:
Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university. Possess and maintain valid certification with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. Valid Massachusetts licensure as an Occupational Therapist through the Board of Registration for Allied Heath Professionals.
Knowledge of Massachusetts and federal special education regulations. Background in test administration interpretation and application to educational settings. Experience working in an educational setting or other relevant experience with schoolaged children requiring occupational therapy services.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience evaluating students and providing therapeutic interventions to students and providing therapeutic interventions to students with disabilities; affecting their ability to access and participate in educational activities. Ability to assess students functional skills in areas like fine motor sensory processing selfcare cognitive abilities and social interaction; adapting the environment and utilizing meaningful activities to enhance their academic performance and overall participation within school environments. Demonstrated experience monitoring progress maintaining detailed records ensuring compliance with educational standards and regulations an supervising certified occupational therapy assistant(s) as needed. Other qualifications as established by the District.
