Summer School Administrator

1 Temporary Position (Elementary)
Internal/External Posting
South Lane School District is seeking an elementary administrator to plan and implement 1/2 day summer school programs that will occur June 23July 24 2025. Under the supervision and direction of the Assistant Superintendent the administrators will do the following:
- Coordinate and plan summer program from date of hire to the end of the summer school program including coordination of enrichment activities with outside partners
- Supervise the enrollment process
- Recruit screen hire and assign summer school certificated and classified staff
- Assign classrooms and offices in collaboration with building administrator
- Arrange for textbooks supplies equipment duplicating and other services and seeking assistance from the regular school administration as needed
- Conduct staff orientation prior to the opening of summer school
- Be on site to supervise summer school
- Meet with students and/or parents when appropriate to maintain summer school attendance requirements.
- Be responsible for campus control and student discipline. Maintain accurate discipline attendance and academic records for summer program
- Supervise classroom instruction to ensure adherence to content standards when applicable
- Review attendance sheets and time sheets and sign prior to forwarding them to the district office
- Make changes in the summer school site master schedule or staffing when summer school begins as necessary
- Prepare summer school reports as required
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the assistant superintendent
The administrator will begin this work upon hire and it is estimated that they will work an average of 510 hours per week leading up to summer school and 2530 hours per week during the summer school program.
Desired Qualifications
- Oregon Administrative License or current enrollment in an administrative licensure program or experience leading a summer educational program.
- 3 years of experience as a teacher or administrator
- Ability to plan/implement substantial projects
- Ability to perform under pressure with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of K5 curriculum
Compensation
$9000$11000
There are no additional benefits for this temporary position.
