Job Description

Spotsylvania County Public Schools is seeking Instructional Coordinators for theSchool Year. Instructional Coordinators support the organization and of the instructional program within the schools as an adjunct to a teaching assignment.
Essential Functions:
- Assists in developing long and shortrange curriculum goals and objectives
- Evaluates the curriculum and makes recommendations for program improvements
- Assists in the preparation of courses of study and curriculum guides
- Coordinates the schools programs and activities through the principal
- Assists the principal in creating the instructional master schedule
- Assists in the planning of schoolbased professional development activities
- Assists in the area of classroom management and evaluation of instruction
- Assists in the placement of practicum students and student teachers
- Assists in ordering instructional materials
- Assists in the interpreting of the instructional program to the community

Education and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Currently possesses OR ability to possess a Virginia Collegiate Professional or Postgraduate Professional License within a specific endorsement(s) area
- Five years of successful fulltime teaching experience three 3 of which at the secondary level
