Amazon is looking for a Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) within Amazons Grocery business to join a highly innovative team that is building brand new mission critical software for millions of Amazon customers.
This is a unique opportunity for someone interested in working in an entrepreneurial environment within a large company where teams experiment fail fast learn and scale rapidly. The right candidate will possess a strong program management background have demonstrated experience leading large programs and have a wellrounded technical background.
Key job responsibilities
As a leader on the team you will own and drive large projects across the Grocery technology space. Responsibilities include collection of business and systems requirements from internal and external customers writing specifications driving project schedules from design to release and managing the production launch. You will lead and coordinate design and implementation efforts collaborating with sharp engineers and highlyengaged users coordinating across multiple teams to develop optimal solutions in an agile environment. You will be expected to make appropriate tradeoffs to optimize timetomarket clearly communicate goals roles responsibilities and desired outcomes to internal crossfunctional and remote project teams.
10 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
8 years of technical program management experience
7 years of handson work managing complex technology projects experience
Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules
Bachelors degree in Engineering Computer Science or related technical field
5 years of software development experience
Experience designing or architecting (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
