Key job responsibilities Identify and assess the value of content to acquire for the Kindle Unlimited catalog based on industry trends and reader behavior
Build and maintain productive relationships with major publishers effectively communicating the value proposition of Kindle Unlimited and negotiating on behalf of Amazon and its customers
Evaluate content performance and P&L metrics and adjust acquisition strategy accordingly
Partner with the product and marketing functions on customer acquisition and retention initiatives
About the team The Reading Subscriptions Worldwide Selection team is responsible for making sure were enrolling the best possible books for customers into Kindle Unlimited and Prime Reading globally.
Bachelors degree 5 years experience in digital content licensing publishing or related industry 3 years of negotiation and third party relationship management experience Experience partnering with data science and finance partners to inform priorities influence business decisions and evaluate impact of initiatives Experience delivering crossfunctional projects Clear passion for books authors and readers
Experience with subscription business models Familiarity with rights management contractual frameworks Previous experience in a technologydriven company Excellent communication skills whether in written documents small group discussions largescale presentations or to senior leadership.
