Amazon Corporate Securitys (ACS) Business Assurance Center (BAC) is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer II who will help drive datadriven decision making through development of metrics dashboards and analytical solutions. This role will be instrumental in understanding customer behavior designing new models to connect disparate data sources analyzing trends and delivering actionable insights for business decisionmaking.
Key job responsibilities
* Develop data visualizations & dashboard designs that meet a wide range of customer needs and raise the bar for analytical excellence
* Work crossfunctionally with stakeholders to design and implement ETL pipelines
* Provide technical mentorship and guidance to engineers and analysts including code reviews architectural guidance and career development support
* Dive deep into varied data sources to understand relationships between metrics surface insights and implement new data models
* Three or more 3 years of working cross functionally with tech and nontech teams experience
* Use statistical models with large multidimensional datasets to uncover trends patterns and opportunities
* Identify and recommend opportunities to automate processes
* Perform ad hoc analysis to quickly solve timesensitive operational issues
* Clearly communicate discrepancies and findings including root cause analysis and resolution steps to a broad user base
A day in the life
In a typical day a BAC Business Intelligence Engineer might work to establish new metrics for security operations analyze trends in security data or develop dashboards for tracking key performance indicators. Youll prototype solutions for technical review by peers implement ETL pipelines and work independently to root cause data anomalies. Youll be expected to understand business implications and recommend courses of action through crisp documentation for senior leaders.

3 years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift Oracle NoSQL etc. experience
Experience with data visualization using Tableau Quicksight or similar tools
Experience with data modeling warehousing and building ETL pipelines
Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R SAS and Matlab
Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2 DynamoDB S3 and Redshift
Experience in data mining ETL etc. and using databases in a business environment with largescale complex datasets
