As a Lecturer in Construction Technology in Architecture youll have the opportunity to shape the future of architectural education and research. Youll contribute to both undergraduate and graduate programs enhancing student experiences and outcomes. Your role will involve developing innovative curriculum conducting highquality research and fostering valuable partnerships with industry and government. Your responsibilities will include:
- Deliver Exceptional Teaching: Develop and coordinate courses in construction technology for architecture at undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Conduct Impactful Research: Produce highquality publications and secure external funding to advance the field of construction technology in architecture.
- Foster Industry Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the architecture and construction sectors.
- Mentor Future Leaders: Supervise and guide postgraduate students in their research projects.
You may be a great fit if:
You are a passionate educator and researcher with a PhD in a relevant discipline demonstrating a strong track record in teaching research and industry engagement within the field of construction technology in architecture.
You may also:
- Have at least two years of industry experience preferably in architecture.
- Possess a proven track record of highquality research publications and funding acquisition.
- Demonstrate exceptional teaching skills at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Show the ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment and engage with the community.

Your new team The Faculty of Architecture Building and Planning
The Faculty of Architecture Building and Planning is the leading educational and research institution in the AsiaPacific region addressing the design and realisation of inhabited environments. It actively seeks to extend the linkages between education research and practice in the built environment and maintains excellent and extensive relationships with members of the built environment professions government professional associations and the wider community.
The Faculty has over 200 staff and 3000 students one third of whom are international. It is responsible for the undergraduate Bachelor of Design degree and offers majors in architecture landscape architecture property construction and urban planning.
The Facultys graduate school the Melbourne School of Design (MSD) teaches accredited masters courses across the professional disciplines of Architecture Construction Management Landscape Architecture Property Urban Design and Urban Planning.
