Job Description

Join Amazons dynamic environment as a Supply Chain Manager I where you will play a crucial role in shaping and optimizing various facets of our operations. We have exciting opportunities across different business units each seeking a skilled professional to lead strategic initiatives and drive process improvements in the supply chain domain. As a Supply Chain Manager with an Operations or Imports Background youll take endtoend ownership of operations focusing on the strategic relationships with carriers and internal stakeholders.

In this role you will collaborate with crossfunctional teams including Business Operations Supply Chain Product Finance and more. Utilize your analytical prowess to identify opportunities for operational improvements implement scalable systems and drive automation to enhance efficiency with a particular focus on optimizing the physical flow and operations within the supply chain network. Whether youre managing network capacity initiatives overseeing crossfunctional programs or focusing on strategic projects your impact will be visible ongoing and contribute directly to our commitment to being the most customercentric company on earth.

Key job responsibilities
Handle day to day operations to ensure smooth freight movement
Lead strategic initiatives related to network capacity within Amazons various business units.
Concentrate on optimizing and managing the flow of goods information or services within the supply chain network.
Analyze and synthesize data to identify opportunities for enhancing customer experiences and operational efficiency in network capacity.
Define metrics develop program management mechanisms and invent/simplify processes to drive decisionmaking in complex network capacity situations.
Collaborate with stakeholders across different functions influencing and facilitating agreements to achieve shared network capacity goals.
Manage crossfunctional network capacity initiatives ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to lean philosophy at scale.
Identify and deliver operational improvement opportunities in network capacity focusing on logistics strategy and transportation optimization.
Monitor and optimize key network capacity metrics to ensure the smooth flow of goods or services through the supply chain network.

A day in the life
As a Supply Chain Manager I your day is dynamic and varied focused on keeping Amazons complex global supply chain running smoothly. You start your morning by facilitating the flow of information between various stakeholders including Logistics Service Providers Origin Team Vendor Managers Customs Program Managers and the broader Supply Chain team. Throughout the day youll leverage your research skills and internal tools to make realtime decisions resolving potential issues that could affect lead times and delivery accuracy. Effective communication whether via chime/slack or email is essential as you work to ensure a seamless supply chain. Youll spend time managing and overseeing crossfunctional programs applying your creative problemsolving skills to navigate and resolve ambiguities in business scenarios. A significant part of your role involves fostering collaboration with both internal and external partners to optimize resource allocation and ensure the success of critical initiatives. Youll also focus on identifying and mitigating risks before they escalate regularly communicating with senior managers and business leaders to provide updates and insights that support key business objectives. Working within various time constraints to meet critical business needs youll measure and document your activities demonstrating your ability to thrive in a fastpaced highpressure environment. Your day is characterized by constant problemsolving strategic thinking and a commitment to improving Amazons supply chain operations.

1 years of program or project management experience
1 years of supply chain experience
Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g. pivot tables & charts multiple criteria lookups nested logical/IF formulas data cleansing array formulas etc.
Knowledge of SQL
1 years of forecasting designing or modeling supply chain
1 years of corporate process improvement experience within supply chain

Masters degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration Operations Management or related field
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies
Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel SQL and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
Experience working with global logistics networks and international transportation
Knowledge of customs regulations and import/export processes
Familiarity with logistics service providers and carrier management
Experience identifying and mitigating risks in a complex logistics environment
Proven track record of implementing process improvements that resulted in measurable cost savings or efficiency gains
Demonstrated ability to lead crossfunctional teams and influence stakeholders without direct authority
Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced ambiguous environment while managing multiple priorities

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $57800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $106100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
