The Senior Student Enrichment Officer position based in the Faculty of Arts Academic Support Office plays a crucial role in enhancing the student experience. This role involves creating and managing student enrichment activities including orientation communication and tailored events. Working closely with the Student Enrichment team and various university functions this position contributes to fostering a vibrant and inclusive academic environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Contribute to planning and executing Faculty orientation and enrichment activities for all student cohorts including innovative program ideas
  • Assist in organising University and community events such as Employability Week RUOK Day and Diversity Week
  • Coordinate and maintain communication channels including newsletters social media and website content ensuring timely and accurate information dissemination.
  • Collaborate with the Student Enrichment team to support University initiatives including mentoring and advising programs while maintaining a focus on continuous process improvement and alignment with Faculty goals and policies

You may be a great fit if:
We are seeking someone with strong problemsolving skills discretion and independence. They should excel in teamwork and data analysis with a creative flair for event planning. Understanding the student experience and showing initiative are also crucial.

You will also have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent mix of education and relevant experience
  • Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills (including public speaking) with an ability to relate positively on an individual basis with a wide range of people from students to senior management
  • Demonstrated ability to respond creatively to the needs of students
