Know Your Rights: Notice for California Applicants: Monitor Tech is an unlicensed person who performs indirect care in the department setting. Monitors cardiac rhythms via direct cardiac monitors. Meets the communication needs of the department. Transcribes physician orders records with notation and signatures by nursing staff. Prepares and complies records in the DOU. Orders supplies for the unit and prepares and completes each patients chart for necessary forms needed on a daily basis. Able to assist nursing staff for duties involving indirect patient care.

Qualifications

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE TRAINING

School Diploma or Equivalent
certification in basic arrythmias dysrhythmia ECG EKG or Monitor Tech on hire.
BCLS (ARC or AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
months previous experience as Monitor Technician preferred.
on Violence in the Workplace prevention within 90 days from date of hire.

Centinela Hospital Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. Our Total Rewards package includes but is not limited to paid time off a 401K retirement plan medical dental and vision coverage tuition reimbursement and many more voluntary benefit options. Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or the employment status i.e. fulltime or parttime. The current compensation range for this role is $25.70 to $28.03. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire in which a wide range of factors will be considered including but not limited to skillset years of applicable experience education credentials and licensure.
