AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations from foundational services such as Amazons Simple Storage Service (S3 and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2 to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWSs services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization youll support the development and management of Compute Database Storage Internet of Things (Iot) Platform and Productivity Apps services in AWS including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

We are looking for a seasoned engineer to who is first and foremost securityminded. You would bring years of experience designing building and operating large distributed system with an extremely high bar for security availability reliability and resiliency. You also have experience driving a few large and ambiguous initiatives bringing clarity to align stakeholders with well defined success criteria and see that through inception to completion. You also proactively grow the engineering community mentor other engineers.

Key job responsibilities
Shape up the security engineering culture and developer experience promote secure architecture and tooling.
Influence both technical and product direction. Partner with stakeholders to drive large and complex initiatives.
Improve the quality of the whole SDLC such as design implementation testing and operation.
Design implement deliver solutions thats secure reliable and scalable.
Contribute to the engineering community by mentoring other engineers.

5 years of noninternship professional software development experience
5 years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
5 years of leading design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience as a mentor tech lead or leading an engineering team
5 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle including coding standards software architectures code reviews source control management continuous deployments testing and operational excellence
