Job Duties
The Department of Environmental Qualitys Valley Regional Office (VRO) is seeking an assistant to the office manager to provide a wide variety of clerical assignments within the Regional Office. Duties will consist of but not limited to word processing electronic content management (scanning QA/QC document destruction) and timely Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) support as the FOIA coordinator. Serves as Receptionist/Telephone Console Operator. Fleet Procurement and Facility management assistance.
Minimum Qualifications
Comprehensive knowledge of office management activities and administrative work related to the programs policies and procedures. Proficient written and verbal communications and excellent Customer Service. Skilled in interpretation of written materials anticipating managements needs setting priorities and implementation of administrative rules. Considerable skill in office equipment and methods. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a changing environment. This position may require you to operate a state owned or leased vehicle. Therefore a valid drivers license is required.
Additional Considerations
Notary license or ability to obtain; Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Knowledge of FOIA policy guidelines and processes. Knowledge of Virginia State Procurement policies and procedures.
