Inpatient Pharmacist
FullTime; FTE 1.0
1st shift with rotation to evenings/weekends & holidays
As a member of an interdisciplinary healthcare team the Hospital Pharmacist works with providers to determine optimal therapy and dosing of medications while guiding nurses and other clinical staff on administration interactions compatibilities and side effects. The Pharmacist provides safe accurate and optimal medication regimens throughout the inpatient stay while following all Federal and State regulations.

Minimum Requirements

Education:
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD from accredited College of Pharmacy
Completion of a hospitalbased or other applicable residency program
Experience:
1 year of prior hospital experience
License(s)/Certification(s):
Current licensure in good standing with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy
Valid drivers license when driving any vehicle for workrelated reasons.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Writes reads comprehends and speaks fluent English.
Microsoft Office basic skills.
Customer/patient focused.
Critical thinking skills using independent judgment in making decisions.
Other:
Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
