Barista

Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee House and Bakery in Cypress TX is looking for baristas to join our 25 person strong team. Our ideal candidate is attentive punctual good with people and reliable.

Experience

Minimum 1 year of handson experience

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter
• Answer customers questions about drinks pastries ingredients
• Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend dairy sweeter flavor etc.
• Prepare beverages following LTH recipes and customer requests. This includes grinding beans pulling shots and prepping drinks.
• Serve beverages and prepared foods (cookies pastries desserts)
• Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)
• Keep bar are clean
• Maintain and stock clean mugs
• Check if brewing equipment is working properly and report any maintenance needs.
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area
• Comply with health and safety guidelines
• Communicate customer feedback to managers

Requirements and skills

• Previous work experience as a Barista
• Hands on experience with brewing equipment
• Knowledge of sanitation regulations
• Flexibility to work various shifts
• Ability to gauge customers preferences
• Excellent listening and communication skills
• MUST care about coffee and serving quality coffee.
• High integrity with a great attendance record
• Strong attention to detail
