PHYSIOTHERAPIST
(TEMPORARY PART TIME)
A Temporary Part Time Physiotherapist position is available at Groves Memorial Community Hospital.
This position is a nonunionized position.
You will:
- Perform physical and functional assessment of patients with disabilities analyze findings establish treatment objectives/treatment plan
- Treat patients by means of modality exercise manual skill education; modify objectives and treatment plan as indicated by progress
- Educate patients and families including instruction on the proper use of assistive and adaptive device
- Consult and collaborate with other multidisciplinary team members on patients status and treatment
- Organize and manage daily caseload with Physiotherapy Assistant
- Review/document patients status and progress on patient chart
- Record workload measurement for patient care
- Management of department inventory and equipment
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduated from an accredited Physiotherapy Program
- A license by the Ontario College of Physiotherapists
- Eligibility for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association
- ClinicallyManual Therapy Courses preferred
- Current BCLA CPR Certification
- Sincere interest in quality patient care
- Top physical condition to endure heavy demanding conditions including constant standing moving lifting bending etc. (must meet all requirements of an occupational demands analysis)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well as an effective team member as well as function comfortably independently
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills which are an absolute necessity
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Satisfactory performance and attendance required
- Satisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start date
- Must provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- Must complete a PreEmployment Health Assessment prior to being hired
SALARY:
- $50.07 $58.57 per hour
