NonTenure Track Clinical Faculty Position
The University of Michigan College of Pharmacy (UM COP) Department of Clinical Pharmacy seeks qualified candidates for a parttime 0.80 FTE) nontenuretrack clinical faculty position in palliative care. The academic rank will be commensurate with experience and the effort for this position will be distributed as follows:
50 clinical practice
30 ambulatory palliative care in the primary care space
20 inpatient palliative care
30 teaching and scholarly activities.
In addition to clinical service activities the selected candidate will be expected to conduct individual and collaborative scholarly/research activities provide didactic and experiential teaching and mentor students and trainees such as residents and fellows. The position reports to the chair of the UM COP Department of Clinical Pharmacy and the appropriate team leads in Michigan Medicine.
Successful candidates must hold a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and have completed a PGY1 general practice residency. PGY2 specialty residency training in palliative care or Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) designation or Board of Pharmacy Specialities (BPS) specialty certification and pertinent experience in clinical pharmacy practice are necessary. Eligibility for Michigan pharmacy licensure is required. Applicants must demonstrate a strong record of or potential for leadership in scholarship and professional activities and a strong commitment to the educational mission of the College.
