Library Systems Lead

Your next career opportunity
As the Library Systems Lead at the University of Melbourne youll be at the forefront of managing and innovating the Library Services Platform (LSP) and associated applications. Youll have the opportunity to shape user interfaces streamline library operations and enhance the discovery of resources across the university. Your role will directly impact how students researchers and staff access and interact with the librarys vast resources making this a key position for those passionate about library technology and user experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage Library Systems: Oversee the configuration and ongoing management of the LSP and associated applications focusing on interface design and usability.
  • Enhance User Experience: Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure library interfaces provide effective and intuitive user experiences.
  • Drive System Integration: Facilitate the integration of library systems with enterpriselevel and other university systems to ensure efficient processes and data management.
  • Lead Projects: Coordinate and manage projects related to the LSP ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.

You may be a great fit if:

You are a techsavvy professional with a strong understanding of library systems excellent project management skills and a passion for enhancing user experiences in accessing academic resources.

You may also:

  • Have postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Demonstrate experience in coordinating library system platforms with a focus on user experience.
  • Show experience working with external and internal technologyrelated support providers.
  • Have experience with webrelated programming/scripting using modern tools and languages.
