Position Summary
The Indiana University School of Public HealthBloomington (SPHB) invites applications for a midtosenior level tenured/tenuretrack faculty position in the Department of Applied Health Science . This search seeks applicants at the Associate or Full Professor rank to serve within as a member of the nutrition faculty. The SPH B seeks individuals who will contribute toward academic excellence in teaching in support of our mission of preventing disease and promoting the health and wellbeing of individuals families and communities. This 10month appointment would ideally start August 1 2024. Applications received by November 30 2023 will receive full consideration and applications will be accepted until the position is filled. The SPH B is located on the flagship campus of Indiana University and is comprised of over 200 faculty across five departments. Continuing the momentum of hiring over 40 outstanding faculty over the last two years the SPH B is launching another wave of faculty recruitment. The Department of Applied Health Science unites a multidisciplinary faculty with expertise in social and behavioral science applied to health; opioids addictions and substance use prevention; sexual and reproductive health; nutrition and dietetics; human development and family studies; safety/total worker health/injury prevention; maternal and child health; and global public health all pursuing the common goal of preventing disease and promoting the health and wellbeing of individuals families and communities. A part of the flagship campus of Indiana University located in Bloomington Indiana the Department of Applied Health Science maintains strong connections to other departments in the SPH B and other schools across Indiana University.
