We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Clinical Nurse Educator with a passion for palliative care and clinical teaching to join our St Vincents Private Hospital Brisbane team. This is a temporary parttime position working 48 hours per fortnight 0.63 FTE) for 12 months with the potential to be extended to a permanent position.
The purpose of this role is to provide clinical expertise and specialty knowledge through advanced clinical leadership and education relevant to the specialty of Palliative Care. Operating as part of a multidisciplinary team the role delivers palliative care services to patients their families and carers across St Vincents hospitalandcommunitybased Palliative Care Services.
Under the direction of the Clinical Education Manager as your direct reporting line and in close collaboration with Nurse Unit Managers in Community Palliative Care and Palliative Care Inpatients you will lead facilitate and support the planning promotion coordination development implementation and evaluation of palliative care education based on best practice clinical principles. This role contributes to learning and development programs by building workforce capability and competence through the provision of contemporary and evidencebased education learning activities and clinical practice support.
You will be responsible for all aspects of education and training across our palliative care settings and work in close collaboration with the education team to support and participate in other education functions and responsibilities across the organisation. You will act as a role model and provide expert opinions guidance and coaching to nurses and other members of the multidisciplinary team.

Things that work for us:
Current Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
Minimum of 5 years experience within Palliative Care
Minimum of 3 years experience in a clinically based education role
Demonstrate advanced clinical skills and knowledge in Palliative care
Demonstrated education and leadership abilities and strong communication and collaboration skills
Able to lead and develop education solutions and to contribute to the development of self and other team members
Postgraduate qualification (preferably Master Degree) in clinical teaching and/or education or equivalent (or working towards same)
Cert IV in Training and Assessment (current)
Remuneration:
The position of Clinical Nurse Educator in addition to our competitive salary packaging options is a Classification/Grade with a base remuneration of $62.26 $66.66 per hour superannuation based on experience level and relevant qualifications exclusive of shift penalties or allowances.
